Non-Surgical Oculoplastic Procedures

Do you suffer from bags, dark circles under the eyes that make you look tired and fatigued? Various factors can attribute to such issues, such as volume loss, prominent fat pockets, or hyperpigmented skin. One or all can be present. When you have under eye hollowing or hyperpigmentation, non surgical options such as injectable fillers and or a skin whitening regimen can sometimes help. The hollows are also termed tear troughs when they occur closer to the nose, but when the entire lower eyelid is hollow, we refer to that as infraorbital rim hollowing. Injectable fillers can be performed in the office using hyaluronic acid products. In cases of severe hollowing, fat grafting can be another alternative. Dr. Zoumalan usually prefers injectable fillers over fat grafting since they are more predictable that fat grafting, and can be reversed (dissolved) with an enzyme. Dr. Zoumalan also performs other non surgical procedures including injections to help improve the appearance of submental (neck) fat.
